And I consider investing and pawning as a life-hack lalo na kung kailangan ko ng instant cash agad.

7-day EGGciting recipes under ₱100

There are a number of reasons why people love eggs – it’s easy to cook, versatile, and one of the cheapest and convenient protein sources. Filipinos have especially stocked up on this pantry staple amid the height of lockdowns due to COVID-19 pandemic.

Based on the consumption survey conducted in 2015 by the Food and Nutrition Research Institute of the Department of Science and Technology (FNRI-DOST), chicken eggs ranked seventh on the “Top 30 Commonly Consumed Food Items” in the Philippines, proving that it is an indispensable ingredient in a household. While eggs are often seen as an accompaniment to our breakfast silog meals, it has many other uses from making quick meals, a thickener and binding agent, to adding flavor.

Eggs are packed with nutrients that children need for healthy growth and development. It contains vitamins and minerals and all nine essential amino acids that the human body cannot produce on its own, making it an ingredient that can be easily added to other food to enhance its nutritional value. It’s no wonder that it is a favorite of Filipinos as it’s not only nutritious but an inexpensive source of nutrients and easy to prepare especially for busy parents.

But just because eggs are an obvious choice in making healthy and delicious egg-cellent meals, it doesn’t mean that you should be limited with the usual boiled, fried, or poached. Skip the same-old ways of cooking eggs and try introducing more variety into your child’s diet. Ajinomoto Philippines Corporation has prepared a “7-Day Egg Challenge” for you that will help you learn new ways to cook eggs for your kids. You’d be surprised that even picky eaters would love the way we added other ingredients like veggies to enrich the color, texture, and nutrients of the dishes. Best of all, all are under a hundred pesos for a family-size meal!

Visit www.ajinomoto.com.ph and facebook.com/CookmunitybyAjinomotoPH for recipes and for more information about Ajinomoto. Also, Don’t forget to snap a photo of your eggciting dish and share it with us using the hashtag #AjinomotoEggcitingRecipe.

Currently on Day 3 of the GCQ (General Community Quarantine) + 3 months of ECQ (Community Quarantine, how have you been? If you'll ask me, there are even times that I don't even know what day is it. But during these trying times may we all remain to have faith in God, and a little bit stronger than before and let's continue to hang in there. May we all stick together but of course being minded of the safety precautions, keeping a healthy mind, and body + social distancing pa and this: Always making sure every special moment still counts. Cherish those moments pa din always with your family, loved ones, or dear friends.

Celebrating during these times doesn't necessarily mean to be grand. We can level up a simple meal by giving a little thought by adding creaminess by using your favorite cheese. Just like today, we are all feeling productive and thankful as my homeschooling girls are about to finish their remaining PACES.  So I look around our kitchen to see what I can to do make a leveled up snack with ingredients readily available at home. Then I saw these 3-days old pandesal.

National Cheese Day

How To Make Cheesy Garlic Bread in an Instant
  1. Crushed and finely chopped some garlic,
  2. Add some butter, and whip till fluffy.
  3. Spread it on the Pandesals.
  4. Topped with Grated Cheese
  5. Oven-bake for a few minutes And done!
Walang oven?

How to Cook Creamy Carbonara Budgetarian Style?

Indulging yourself to your favorite food and cravings during ECQ is kinda hard. But if you were like me na food and weakness, gagawa at gagawa ng paraan to get those cravings satisfied and to keep my sanity kahit budgeted pa yan.

I stumble upon Canva Kitchen Online's Saan aabot ang P250 mo? pa'ulam challenge and that Gutom ka na ba? easy recipe edition by Chefs' Lon, Nico, and Russell.

How to Cook Creamy Carbonara Budgetarian Style?

Canva is an online design platform that prides itself on having an in-house chef and providing nutritious meals for its employees but with the recently imposed enhanced community quarantine, it had to replicate its Canva Kitchen online.

How to Cook Creamy Carbonara Budgetarian Style?

Carbonara is our fave pasta dish ever!
That's why when we are browsing for what recipe to recreate at Canva Vibe Alive page, Carbonara is a Must!

Watch Me!

I followed all the steps. (I kinda think, yas!) minus the spicy tuna, para kid-friendly. minus the cheese for ingredients too kasi wala mabili. Also, the pasta must be drained right away. But still, the dish we recreated was super creamy, and yummy. I and my kids loved it. We are actually eyeing for the next recipe to recreate.

Stay tuned for more tipid recipe making our ECQ life way better!

TinaPAY Online Ham & Cheese Bread | Tuna Bread

So, I reached out to madam para mag order.

TinaPAY Online Ham & Cheese

TinaPAY Online Spanish Bread Big

TinaPAY Online  Ube Cheese Pandesal

TinaPAY Online - Chocolate Donut

Looking for something fancy?
Don't.

It's all because the bread available for sale at TinaPAY Online came from a good old fashioned bakery that went on from generation to generation. Yas, it more like a neighborhood bakery but this I gotta tell... The bread... Mesherep! (deliciously tasty!)

MUST BUY! Chocolate Glazed Doughnuts
topped with Candy Sprinkles
Good old fashioned doughnuts and the chocolate glaze legit na chocolate talaga :)

Must Try! Monggo Bread
First time ko sya matikman sa Tinapay Online.
Masarap sya! Magugustuhan mo to if you love monggo filling and that cheese bread crumbling chenez!

My super fave is the Spanish Bread, Cholate Doughnut, and the Monggo Bread. Chloe likes the Chocolate Doughnut so much. Also the Ube Pandesal, and the Kababayan. Ricci naman likes the Ham and Cheese and the Monggo Bread. While my eldest, Charles, was so into the Tuna Bread and the Ham & Cheese and Tasty/Bread Loaf fluffy daw and malaman. I agree!

TinaPAY Online Spanish Bread (Big)

MUST TRY/BUY at TinaPAY Online:
  1. Bread Loaf - Fluffy and Malaman / Hindi puro hangin. Mabubusog ka promise at di kakabagin!
  2. Spanish Bread - My ultimate fave super love the filling! I hate desiccated coconuts pero ok napakain ako here.
  3. Tuna Bread - Such a savory treat. Slightly spicy pero keribells.
  4. Ham & Cheese Bread - this one too!
  5. Ube Cheese Pandesal - fluffiest, soft and chewy.
  7. Chocolate Donut with Candy Sprinkles - Deep fried and a bit oily pero that what makes it tastier and flavorful. :)

Take note: Masarap ang breads nila.

Siksik yung bread at mabango at masarap. Ramdam at malalasahan mo na good quality ang ingridients at recipe.

Natakam ka ba?
Bili na sa TinaPAY Online at afford natin' oh!

#SarapBangus Challenge 1: Bangus in Adobo Sauce

Previously sa #GuessWhatMommyAisCooking ...Na umabot lang naman sa 800+ hula comments from our dear momshies, beshies and fwends  here on Aci Girl's  facebook page...

This is it and it's NOT pansit!

The Mystery dish is called: "Pritong Bangus and Be Saucy with Style"

Please watch the video

Ang hirap ba ng name dish ko? Pero wag ka... Super easy lang and recipe lang nito!!!  Featuring Sarangani Bay Marinated Baby Milkfish.

I recreated this dish I found at Kusina Sarangani's Facebook and it's called Pritong Bangus + Adobo Sauce

But the fambam can't get enough of the fish frying but super goody and enticing smell lalo na ng sauce!

And guess what? The FamBam loved it!!!

Suggested Cooking instruction of Sarangani Baby MilkFish (Fry)

1. Pre-heat cooking oil in a skillet on medium heat.
2. Fry for approximately 2-3 minutes then flip and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes or until golden brown and the thickest part of the fish flakes easily meaty.
3. Served

#GiveawayAlert:  There's an ongoing giveaway hosted by Kusina Sarangani

Paandar For A Cause

Kaliwat-kanan ang donation drive mapa-news, online, and even sa aking circle of friends.  May for the benefits of our dear frontliners, at may feeding program sa mga homeless.

Napaisip ako, at nagdasal. Sinilip ko ang wallet ko, walang laman. Nag-dasal ako uli... sabi ko Lord sana may grasya kahit konti ok na. Then a PR friend messaged me for a small token, remembering me during this community quarantine and sent me cash thru PayMaya. Yes! Thank you Lord, Answered prayer!
So nag-iisip ako what to do? Then one of my blogging beshie itago sa pangalang Lhyzie, messaged me and asked me to collaborate for a mini-giveaway. After a bunch of messages, ideas et'al "Paandar for a Cause" was born.

The Story, and The 48 Beautiful Faces Behind "Paandar for a Cause"

Paandar for a Cause is not an ordinary pa-giveaway. We collaborated with other mommy bloggers, and friends. Chipping in a certain amount as our humble share for this giveaway. Also, our way to give back to our readers and the madlang people out there. We are channeling the Mayora's in all of us to send a mini pa'relief even just for a day.
