For a company to last 5 Decades in business... It must have been offering something that is really good and so much more. 

Uratex has become the number one foam supplier and innovator in the country today. Actually, my mattresses at home I bought all from Uratex. Simple because it's a brand that my mom trusted. I grew up having that 5-inch Uratex mattress that I used since Grade1 up to my 1st year in high school. Ganun sya katibay! Uratex Golden Moment - The 50th Anniversary

Everyone cheered at the toast to Uratex, for it to continue its business for another 50 years or more. 


During Uratex’s 50th Anniversary Celebration with its industry partners and customers at Manila Hotel’s The Tent City, many gathered to send their well-wishes and at the same time spend the evening with fun entertainment, good food, and great company. Among the high-profile guests in the event was Senate President Tito Sotto III together with his wife, veteran actress Helen Gamboa.

The night was filled with fun and exciting performances from celebrities, such as OPM legend Rey Valera, who sang his classic hits and cracked some old-timey jokes to ease up the crowd into the evening. Singer-comedienne K Brosas, on the other hand, got the audience cackling throughout her set with impressions of iconic singers and some hard-hitting punchlines. The Concert King Martin Nievera crooned his way to the crowd and urged them to sing with him. And Uratex’s newest celebrity endorser, Matteo Guidicelli gave an equally swooning serenade and expressed his heartfelt gratitude on being a part of the Uratex family. 

Senate President Tito Sotto III and his wife, veteran actress Ms. Helen Gamboa were among the high profile guests at the Uratex 50th Anniversary Dinner, with Uratex PR Director Big Boy Chen and Uratex co-founder and CEO, Mrs. Natividad Cheng.

In between performances, Uratex featured short videos telling the company’s story and how they got to where they are right now. They showcased some of their innovations to prepare for the company’s future— by bolstering their capacity and advancements with the other industries they are involved with and by continuously providing Filipinos with affordable sleep solutions that could last for a lifetime.

 I grew up with Uratex foam. 
Pappi (my father) is super strict about this. I remember my childhood days when we don't have a bed frame or bed box but we had a family size mattress and we feel so yaman already hahaha. I and my siblings were so happy and we always jump on the bed, practicing our tumblings or rollover thingy safe and iwas-bukol with Uratex mattress :)

 Wear and Tear + Recycling Tips
I have a sibling (name withheld lol basta isa samin :P) who wet the bed till grade 6 and this is the reason why out Uratex mattress was gone to soon. But during those days what pappi did was nilalabhan or binibilad nya sa arawan. Until Mudrabells bought a new Uratex Mattress with Double Deck Bed YAY!!! 
I remembered how happy I was because I will have my very OWN bed na! I'm the firstborn I got the privilege to choose my spot and I choose the Top Bunk :) and years go by the bed worn out but still usable. What my pappi did was he recycle the foams, cut them into rectangles and made a pillow out of it :) and the first Uratex we ever had? he recycled that too as padding on our chairs for comfy seating :)


The Lost Sheep
After having a family of my own, still on the start-up age... I bought our first-ever mattress sa naglalako and hulughulugan. The agent told me that it is Uratex and he is super confident pa as showing the blue foam. so the clueless me of authenticity decided to buy that mattress. At first, it feels okay for me... but days before... YES! just days before... I noticed that the area that I slept in ay lumondo sa part na lagi kong hinihigaan. Months later I noticed powder or sandy or grainy particles on the bed box. what's? this? Nasisira na sya agad? or should I say naaagnas hahaha di ko pa nga sya tapos hulugan KALOKAAAA!!! 

So, when pappi visited our home he checked the mattress agad and said PEKE. I should have bought daw sa authorized dealer (that time kasi wala pang stickers si Uratex or di lang talaga ako marunong pumili) kaya the next time I see to it na orig na talaga or else money will turn not into stone but sand, sandy particles of mattress  :P hahahah

 The First Official Uratex  Mattress Ever (for my family)
We bought the 2inch (3 fold) Fold-A-Mattress in Blue Dotted Covers in the biggest size in Market! Market! I'm a clingy mommy and I want na tabi-tabi- kami matulog. kaya siguro kahit ngayon ang hirap i-separate samin ang kids lalo na sa pagtulog because of my actions back then. and as years add to our aged nadagdagan din ang members of our family so we bought another Uratex Mattress, this time single size in red stripes cover. this bed is still with us counting 6 years already :)

This Ricci's Favorite Bed
This is really meant for her, we bought this a month before I gave birth to her.

Di sya makatulog if may bed sheet or covers ito. She just likes it as is or else iyakan blues. She rubbed her feet sa red stripe sheets na yan until makatulog. One time, na pinilit kong lagyan ng bedsheets want to know what happened? napunit ang sheets at nakapasok sa loob ang feet nya hahaha special connection with uratex lol -That's Ricci- and Uratex Mattress Special Bond


It Runs In The Family
During the holidays, siempre gala galore sa mga relatives after the bibbo moment ayan... Low-Batt! SEE? Even our  relatives use Uratex...

New Home, New Foam (^.^,) We still had the 2 other mattresses, dun natutulog ang mga kids and si hubby and this one? It's for ME!!! yey!!! malikot kasi ako matulog and ayoko nang may katabi. So after a tiring day or just too exhausted after bake mode, I deserve a good sleep naman dabah? Thanks DaddyO!for this! :)

The video starts by showing a young man longing for the love and company of their mother, supposedly an Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW). He has not seen her as she has not come home for the past three years working overseas. Not a day passes that the young man misses his mother, where he shared many fun and memorable moments with her while in his bedroom during his childhood. And now that Christmas is near, the longing is felt more than ever. Watch the video to know more about it.

My thoughts about the video:
I felt sad, having a member of the family to work abroad, being away from their loved ones for a couple of years or more, not being there during their kid's milestone and the holidays. I can only imagine their heartaches. Years ago, DaddyO was already considering working abroad. I say no right away and I cried. He wants to give our family a better future. I know he only wants the best. But I want my kids to grow up seeing their dad daily, having meals all together and attending mass every Sunday. Being a part of their childhood and instilling good values and wisdom. being with them during the hard times and the best times.  That's my simple dream. I just want togetherness, peace, and happiness. Also, I do believe that life is short and I really want to make the best of it. Good thing that this video clip has a happy ending, perfect timing for the holiday cheer. Just wishing that every Filipino who works abroad can come home soon to their families and  I pray that maybe someday, they don't have to be away for work again.
