Do you segregate your garbage? Does your family practice waste segregation at home? Waste segregation is a must, this should start at home and let your kids participate too!
How We Segregate Our Waste at Home and Letting My Kids Learn More About It with Miming and Friends
Yes, start them young, this is our duty as parents to educate our children about the proper way of garbage disposal. That there are things in our trash that can be recycled, reused, or don't need to be included in the trash collected by the garbage trucks.
Based on reports by WWF-Philippines, the National Solid Waste Management Commission , and the World Bank, 74% of plastic leakage comes from waste that has been collected. Inconsistent collection and recycling facilities mean that packaging and all other kinds of waste often end up in landfills, communities, or oceans – whether the materials are technically recyclable or not.
Because we know that waste collected from every household will end up in landfills and if we didn't segregate, items that can be recycled will just sit there and add to the pile that may take forever before it decompose (and maybe never) and sadly, some of these garbage ends up in the sea! Yes, to the sea!!!
