Coca-Cola Philippines joins Day2 of GENFEST 2018 "Hands 4 Humanity"
Taking part in the Coastal Clean Up at the Las Pinas-Paranaque Critical Habitat (LPPCHEA)

I saw what GENFEST 2018: Day 2: "Hands 4 Humanity" was all about. It was a Coastal Clean-Up that took place at the Las Pinas-Paranaque Critical Habitat (LPPCHEA) And Yes!!! ALL THAT "KALAT" IS FOR REAL...
This post may not boost your mood to hit like or share or maybe even some of you won't bother reading it. Yes! this is not flashy, fancy, goody-good artsy post that might get you interested and or even curious enough to scroll up. BUT THIS IS REAL LIFE HAPPENINGS... True to life story, snaps and ganaps not just around the metro city, not only in the Philippines but the whole wide world.
Tons of waste from all over the world and some of us are not even disposing of garbage properly. More and more news is out about garbage, and most plastics were contaminating the oceans, rivers and other bodies of water resulting for animals living in it to grow abnormally and worse is that they die.

On a lighter note, I admire people who are mindful of their trashes, who's up for segregating and recycling, who are minimizing or avoiding the use of plastics in their lifestyles, and those who would go an extra mile for their care to Mother Earth, giving time and joining clean-up drives, and advocacy's alike.

One of the best examples would be the area of Las Pinas- Paranaque Critical Habitat (LPPCHEA) where an effort to collect all the garbage there was made, a significant decrease in the volume of trash was seen.

A boatmen living in the area told me that that garbage is not from there. It was just brought there by the waves coming from someplace else. Together with his fellow boatmen, they were cleaning it up to maintain the cleanliness of LPPCHEA station 10. If people would only be mindful of their wastes, disposing of it properly, recycle if they must, It'll be a huge help not just for LPPCHEA but for the world as well.

Coca-Cola Philippines took real action on the phenomenon and didn't get the fuzz of being dirty and also didn't mind the stinky smell. They were all there cleaning up what's left of that not so looking good shore and just did an awesome job to act on it. They participated in the Coastal Clean up last July 7 together with the delegates of GENFEST 2018. Day 2 "Hands for Humanity"

Plastic, Rubber, and Styro
Some of the garbage's washed ashore are driftwoods, coconut husk, leaves, broken toys, footwear, tin cans, soiled diapers, plastic wrappers, plastic cups, plastic bags... Ok, ok, mostly plastics or else the list would be long. But on this particular clean-up drive Plastic, Rubber and Styro are the main stuff to collect and to be disposed of. Each garbage bag should contain only 1 kind of waste. If you opted for plastics, it should only be all made from plastics for segregation and proper garbage disposal.

After hours of hard work... a cleaner coast than it was earlier appears. Even though it saddens me to see that the color of the water in it was blackish. I still hope and pray that people will start to care and act on it too. Simply doing our part can contribute a lot. In our own little way, we can all help in making this world a better place.
continue your advocacies👏👏👏👍👍
