How to Prevent Skin Dryness during the Holiday Season in 2-easy Steps

How to Prevent Skin Dryness during The Holiday Season in 2-easy Steps
Christmas is the most wonderful time of the year. This too is the busiest time ever. The kids are super excited, Moms and Dads on multi-tasking mode, everyone's panicky to shop, prepare gifts and think of the menu for the Noche Buena. We do all this to celebrate the birth of Jesus and to have the merriest time with the family.
But in line with the preps of the holiday, This is a bit stressful. The stress that goes with it is one we must endure, and one way to see the sign is through the appearance of our skin. No wonder other people tend to say "Ang haggard mo?" whenever we bumped into one. Stressed much ka na pala?! Our skin tends to look dull, dry and lifeless when we are too stressed. And the chilly weather this season is what making it a lot worse.
A child's skin is thinner and more sensitive compared to the adults. Their skin also produces fewer moisturizing oils making to feel dry easily. When this happens, they are much prone to having skin related problems that can lead to a skin infection. So using Moisturizing is a Must!
“What you put in their mouth is as important as the products you apply on their skin,” says Dr. Lily Ong-Lim, Top Pediatrician of St. Luke’s Medical Center.

How to Keep the Family's Skin Healthy?
  1. Keep Hydrated: Drinks lots of water, and fruit juices.
  2. Increase Fruits and Veggie Intake: To absorb nutrients that are needed to be healthy.
  3. Avoid Exposure to Direct Sunlight: Sounds cliche but this is the no.1 factor for skin dryness.
  4. Use Sunblock even indoors: Harmful rays of light are everywhere!
  5. Moisturize from the Inside + Moisturize on the Outside

Did you know that frequent bathing removes the natural oils that protect the skin?

This is a bit of a shocker for me, I thought taking a bath is also a way of hydrating my skin but I'm wrong! For this can washed-out the healthy oils our body is naturally producing. So, it's better to resist the urge to bathe your child frequently too, because frequent bathing removes the natural oils that protect the baby's skin. Also, never use scented baby products in the early months that can irritate your child's delicate skin and aggravate certain skin conditions like eczema. If your child suffers from dry skin, it can be incredibly difficult to find a product that brings them relief. It’s a condition that can be extremely uncomfortable for both the child and also the mom.
And this, Finding the right products to use is therefore very crucial - That's why when you already find the one right product for you, stick to it and don't dare to try something else to avoid allergies and skin infections. There's this one product that has proven to win the hearts of Moms around the globe. The Oilatum Bar Soap.
